It looks like the most interesting show up tonight will be the results show for Dancing With the Stars, at 9 p.m. on ABC.
Tonight, we are promised a tribute to Michael Jackson. BTW, if Jackson hadn’t died last summer, he and DWTS contestant Donny Osmond would be the same age. And frankly, I’m thinking Donny is a better dancer than Jackson was. Not that Jackson’s dancing wasn’t incredibly influential – that whole moonwalking thing… I dare you to demonstrate that to your young ‘uns. But it was kind of one-dimensional. Whereas, Mr. Osmond demonstrated last night that he can cross genres, so to speak. Between the hustle and the Argentine tango, he’s giving Mya and the other ladies some serious competition.
One other note, ABC Family began its annual 13 Nights of Halloween programming block last night, but it’s mostly theatrical films with commercials. Yawn. Tonight, we have The Goonies, at 7:30 p.m. A charming little film about a group of misfit kids in search of a treasure, but frankly, I’d rather rent the DVD rather than put up with the interruptions. Your mileage may vary.
