And am I desperate for a post. The press release announcing the concert tour featuring the cast of the Fox show Glee actually came through earlier this month. But since tickets to the general public go on sale tomorrow (Friday, 3/12) for the May series, I thought I’d mention it. If you (or your parent) have an American Express card, tickets have been on sale since March 5th.
And it should be a good concert. The TV critics were treated to a couple solos by Lea Michele (who plays Rachel) and Amber Riley (Mercedes), and they were incredible – unmiked with a grand piano, amplified guitar and drum set. They blasted us out of our seats. They really can sing beautifully.
Unfortunately (especially for my niece in Canada – Hey, Cat), the tour is only going to four cities in the U.S.: Phoenix, Los Angeles, Chicago and New York, and both L.A. and New York have added extra performances due to demand – must be a lot of folks with American Express cards. According to the release, prices range from $39.50 tp $89.50, and the site is also selling VIP and party packages. The start date for the tour is May 15, but because I would not be surprised if they add dates or otherwise change them, I’ll let you check the site here (http://www.gleetour2010.com/) for when and where.
