It’s game show night on ABC, with the return of audience favorite Wipeout at 8 p.m. and a new game show called Downfall at 9 p.m.
Wipeout is the crazy obstacle course show. I thought it was decidedly okay when I reviewed it last year and haven’t seen anything to change that opinion of it. Your mileage may vary.
I know next to nothing about Downfall. Alas, the network didn’t provide a review screener, so all I have to go by is the description of the show. It’s supposed to be a fast-paced quiz show where contestants answer trivia questions in time to keep prizes from sliding off the roof of a building via a giant conveyor belt. Hmmmmm. Sounds a little unnecessarily destructive to me, but again, can’t say because I haven’t seen it and it’s not likely I will.
