Today we have a couple programming notes since neither of these featured shows provided screeners. But I think they’re fairly important, nonetheless.
Alas, they are also on at the same time.
The Style Network is featuring a town-hall event it shot recently in St. Louis, Missouri, call Too Fat for 15: The Obesity Crisis. Alison Sweeney of The Biggest Loser will host a discussion with Style talent, including Ruby Gettinger, whose battle to lose her weight was chronicled in the series Ruby, and health experts about what families can do to fight the obesity epidemic. This is on at 8 p.m.
And even if your kids aren’t fat, their current lifestyle could be making them really, really unhealthy. Hence Are You Fitter Than a Senior?, also at 8 p.m. on Discovery Fit and Health. The series challenges some unhealthy, 0kay, lazy 20-somethings to move in with some ultra-fit senior citizens to see if the elders can convince the young ‘uns to get their act together.
The bottom line is that we’ve got two different ways of countering unhealthy lifestyles, which may well be worth looking at. Let us know.
