I’ve been writing about parenting and media for well over 10 years now. I started out with L.A. Parent and the Torrance (CA) Daily Breeze, writing general parenting articles, then moved on to regular columns on parenting and media in Catholic Parent and OnDirectTV. I also did a weekly column on television for families for several years for the Portland (ME) Press Herald/Maine Sunday Telegram and was a regular reviewer for CommonSenseMedia.org.
I also have practical experience in the parenting field, although I’m semi-retired. Her Ladyship has graduated from college, has her own place and a job with benefits. She also calls me regularly and is, all in all, a really cool person. Which leads me to believe I did something right.
I’m married and live in Southern California with my husband, dog and cat (critter count always subject to change). I love to read, watch TV, knit, sew, cook and make soap and wine.
